@Riot Thoughts about Alistar

Hello everyone,

I don't know if some red has talked about Alistar recently, but would be good if they offers us a vision of what his future rework would be.

Personally, I usually play Alistar and I consider me a medium-level player with him. I have played him in solo top, jungle and support, but nowadays I only play him as a support.

In the past he had a very good jungle with nice ganks but now his clearing time make him a non optimal at that role, mainly because counterjungling, and solo top Alistar is something lost long ago in time. So I want to know, what vision have Riot about his future? They said a lot of times that they dislike his w+q combo, mainly in his jungle path, but I think they do not like that combo in general.

As I do not know what are they planning for Cow, or even if they have any plan for him, I will say what I don't like about Alistar in a short list. Please, keep in mind that this list is about what feels wrong about the Cow as support:

Passive: This passive was great in his jungling times, really helpful to clear camps, but nowadays it has been nerfed to the floor, and as support it does nearly nothing, it's damage is really low and is only usefull to occasionally steal your carry's kills or creeps, and it's negative because it push your lane slowly, but this has been prevented mainly because it does a really low damage. Overall a passive that only wild cows need (junglers), and they are in the edge of extinction.

**Q- Pulverize: **A key skill in how Alistar is played actually. Nothing wrong to say about this one

**W- Headbutt: **This skill is in my opinion the cow's trademark, it's a really usefull skill if you know how to use it and how to position yourself but I have always feeling like it should be an skillshot. Don't ask me way, but a bullrush being a nuke feels bad to me. Beside that, the skill is esencial for any Alistar, no matters what role you pick.

E- Triumphant Roar: This skill is just a waste of points, it's only usefull to push your lane and heals nearly nothing to you and even less to your partners. I could live with an Alistar without his actual E. Even so with the new item, ardent censer, it has become more usefull in AA based comps, but besides that investing your point in that skill is just making it more expensive in mana.

R- Unbreakable Will: This skill is really nice, makes you a crazy tank for a few seconds. As a negative note I need to say that suffers from the bad that it makes your Cow a binary tank, if you have this one up you can't tank 5 guys without problem, if not it will be hard to you to do so. In addition I disagree with an ultimate that gives me a big chunk of AD, I wont AA anyone because A) I'm more worried about peeling, and B) Cow's attack are not famed by beign quick. Even so we have a big tankiness for 7 seconds and a CC break, really usefull.

**General: **In general, Alistar mana cost are too expensive, even with the last buff they did. Let's take for example Braum, I never have gone OOM with him, and with other supports as could be Leona, or Thresh it is really hard to me to be OOM compared with my Cow.

If Alistar's rework finally come, What would happen? Well, probably the won't keep his actual mini malphite ult combo, and I am ok with that if they give me tools to do Alistar role, outpositioning the enemy. I thought a possible solution could be that his Q instead of knockup would be redone in a knockback pointblank AOE, similar to gragas ulti, that should solution their main problem of mini malph R. But his kit should be redone to make it usefull, so.... I'm not a designer and I don't know how it should be xD

So Riot... What your plans about Alistar?

**TL;DR: **this are just some thoughts about one of my favorite champions in League and his possible rework
