I have noticed a rather annoying trend with new champions released is that they all have knock ups sense yasuos release. I just really hope that he doesn't, not sure if I am the only person who has had an issue with this :P I mean I am for synergy between champions and all but yasuo just has almost to perfect of synergy with to many champions already.

There havent been enough champions released since Yasuo to talk about a trend imao. But if Gnar was to have a knockup, I would definetely be worried

I think they're trying not to make Yasuo's R useless.

Q: Gnar knocks enemies up in a line W: Gnar grabs an enemy in his teeth and displaces them back and forth. E: Gnar dashes forward, applying a small knock aside to all enemies he hits, which resets on autoattack (Mobility with interactive counterplayingness for game health dynamicity!) R: Karthus ult, but a knock up for all enemy champs, minions, and neutral monsters. Gnar then gains a debuff called "scapegoat" that he can pass on to enemy champs by auto attacking them (they can pass it on the same way). All neutral monsters have aggro to the Scapegoat until either they all die or whoever is the scapegoat does.

Passive: upon using an ability, Yasuo may use his ultimate on non-knocked up targets for 30 seconds.
