Some 'dragon' things I've noticed.
Riot has left many clues for us before about skins and champions in many forum of content; whether that be splashes, posts, or in AMA's. I just been seeing a lot of things that I found a little curious recently. Here are my thoughts that I have compiled. Now I don't really know what it is pointing to, but they all seem to be dragon related.
Mecha Skins: So you guys have all probably seen the theories. The mecha skin splashes seem to have something mysterious going on in them. This discussion sums it up pretty clearly. People are saying to looks like there are wings and a tail in the back of Mecha Aatrox's splash. That was followed up with everyone trying to decide that this is a picture of. http://i.imgur.com/Ce24U4X.jpg It is the mecha icon that has been in the PBE. People have a lot of ideas what it could be, but the most common is that is a dragon. Because it looks like it has scales, Mecha Aatrox/Malphite couldn't be the champion in the picture. I think that the icon is a champion or a skin. http://i.imgur.com/PuojUELl.jpg The icon in the PBE have ziggs' candy and Bittersweet Lulu's cupcake. So if the to other icons are obviously directly champion/skin based, then why wouldn't the mecha icon be?
Dragon Trainer Lulu: I may have missed something, but why is Dragon Trainer Lulu feature? Is there some special event going on that I was unaware of? Seeing her on the front of the store and home screen was just a little odd. At the time she was put up there, I had already noticed some other things with dragons and was trying to piece them together. This is just another part of the mystery. >.<
Dragon's on The Rift: Yet another dragon-themed hint. In the days following it was acknowledged by rioters, but they didn't shed much light on why they had a dragon fly in the background. And on the actual rift, it isn't common to just see that dragon, it doesn't fly around the whole game.
Ultimate Skin Timing: July '12 and '13 brought us Pulsefire Ez and Spirit Guard Udyr, our only two ultimate skins. Well it is July again and if Rito was to follow its trends, its time for another! With the signs collected, it very well could be Mecha Shyvana. :)
So there are two major ideas that people have as to all the dragon hype. A new Mecha Shyvana skin.. or the new champion will be a dragon (either a mecha one or have a mecha skin).
