[Rework Concept] Zilean

These are not in actual game play an I am hoping Riot picks up my ideas. I play Zilean frequently when I feel like playing him. An I am trying to come up with a new approach to him. Please I would like positive feedback and your thoughts an appropriate comments.

Passive: Period of Progress

Every successive hit with one of Zilean's spells reduces all his spells cooldown by 1 seconds, takes 10 mana off his next spell cast, and grants him vision on his target for 1 seconds. This ability can stack up to 3 times. (Zilean's Q can create two stacks, one when the flux is placed on the target and one when the timer runs out) 3 stacks for a total of 3 seconds of vision on an enemy champion, 30 mana cost reduction, and 3 seconds of cooldown reduction. Stacks fall off all at once.

I thought this Passive would help him with his mana cost and along with bringing back his cooldown reduction. An allow him to follow up on spells.

Q: Era of Enlightenment / Seconds til Suspension

Magic Damage: 60 / 80 / 105 / 125 / 160 (+45% AP)

Mana Cost: 75 / 90 / 110 / 120 / 135 Mana

Magic damage of Adding another cast: + 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+15% Ap) per stack

Cooldown: 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7

Range: 680

Passive: Zilean increases the experience he gains from killing a unit by 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6%. 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8% when he assists in the kill or kills a champion. Nearby allies also receive half of this bonus when near Zilean only when he kills a large monster and champion or assists in a kill of a large monster or champion.

Zilean targets a single unit with a time flux. After it has been placed on the unit(s) a timer (gold stopwatch symbol) counts down from 4.5 / 4 / 3.5 / 3 / 2.5 seconds. When the countdown is finished a golden bolt of magical energy strikes the target, along with all nearby neutral an enemy units within a short range and the target is stunned for 1 second and takes magic damage. Placing another Seconds til Suspension on the target that already has one will cause the first to explode prematurely and stun for .5 seconds instead of 1 second. The damage of this effect causes the first Second til Suspension to deal the regular amount with added bonus magic damage. This spell has no cast time. (Does not interrupt Zilean's movement)

W: Time Anomaly

Magic Damage: None

Mana Cost: 90

Mana Cost per second: 15

Cooldown: 30

Spell Duration: 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5 / 5.5

Slow Duration: 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5

Zilean creates a field around him self that slows the movements of enemies by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% allied champions gain 20% movement speed for a duration based on level. Zilean can cast this spell while moving but the spells area of influence stays at where Zilean is. The Aura is generated from Zilean. Killing him ends the spell's influence, but the slow persists on the enemy until the slow duration wears off.

This means the slow remains on enemies during the initial cast when they are within a set distance away from Zilean. But the movement speed given to Zilean and his allies ramp up to the set percentage.

Okay this one is tricky let me explain. So Zilean can cast this spell which surrounds himself as an aura and gradually enemies near a 525 range of Zilean are slowed starting at 0% until they reach the the slow amount. Leaving the vicinity of Zilean's spell range let's them slowly regain their movement speed. Allies also slowly gain movement speed until the capped movement speed boost is reached while near Zilean. Allies leaving the spell range immediately lose the movement speed boost. This effects persist until the duration is over.

E: Point of Origin

Magic Damage: 55 / 80 / 115 / 145 / 170 (+55% AP)

Mana Cost: 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 105

Cooldown: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9

Range: 700

Active: Zilean blasts a time warp (Like targeting system works like Zyra's Q, or Chogath's Q) on an area that pushes enemies a set distance away from the epicenter (the spells size is the same as Syndra's W at level 1)and deals magic damage. This spell has a cast time.

It's a ground targeted ability that explodes outward and pushed targets away from the spell's epicenter. It does more damage than his Q (without using two) but it shouldn't be his bread and butter. It's a small spell but since it has a knock back it can be used effectively to cancels enemy channels or hinder movements. I gave this spell the range of his original Q so that once you placed a Q you could still poke enemies at least once or twice before they went out of range to ensure that your Q would kill the target.

R: Chrono Shift

Mana Cost: 125 / 155 / 180

Cooldown: 170

Range: 900

Health Regained: 600 / 850 / 1100 (+ 200% AP)

Active: Zilean places a protective time rune on an allied champion for 7 seconds.

If the target takes lethal damage during that time, they will be placed in stasis - making them untargetable and invulnerable. After 2 seconds, the target is revived with a set amount of health.

I wanted Zil to have as much if his old kit as possible while moving him into the future. I mean seriously why he gotta be prejudiced against Bears. D= So I moved his cooldown reduction else where and I didn't think giving him the Janna Passive treatment would be good for his play so I gave him experience alone for himself, which makes him great as a solo laner. And I gave a him a team beneficial spell. I thought his time bombs were cool an I liked the countdown, but thought the bombs were outdated. So I gave him a spammable enhanced clock-looking stun with a countdown for enemy reaction times to get away from Zil. But lowered the damage. And I made sure to keep his ultimate. He is very utility oriented and works both offensively and defensively. I wanted to give him a little more risk when using his slow, so he would have to get slightly above auto attack range and consistently keep close and kite in order to hinder enemy movements. I thought of giving him something along the lines as a Karthus Q with Cc, to displace enemies. With proper usage he could stop an enemy escape or keep them in range of his slow. I thought that this should be the only ability with a cast time (.75 second cast time). I shortened his range on most of his skill so they wouldn't overly exceed his basic attack range, and wouldn't make him over bearing in bot lane. The amount he slows for when the enemy has stayed too long in his zone is fair considering he has to kite to stay in range to slow, and his Q's lower mana cost makes sense since the cooldown was increased and damage was nerfed. I'm not to good at judging the ratios and comparing his Q range to his W. Essentially I want his Q five units less that his slow range so he could combo, with it and have to get in range with his slow first before using Q.

I will take anything over his current outdated kit, And my interactions with him are just Bot games, As for visuals they could just make him look like his Chinese art and he would be really cool, I really hope riot is over the big goofy hair thing,

Very Cool, I also play Zilean quite a bit and he was the first champ I really got into back in the day. He doesn't really have a a ton of versatility currently so I'm glad that people of like minds are thinking of new ways to play him.

On a side note, you seem like someone who has done a bit more theory-crafting then me. I also did a rework of Zilean just the other day, I'm just curious on what you think of it.

Well. You just took a support that can 1 combo any adc till level 9, and made it so he can 1v3 an incoming gank also, without running out of mana.
