Loss of HP and Mana after refunding an item at full hp

After buying a dagger, growing a level, then refunding the dagger, my hp was back at the previous level's hp.

Step 1: Buy dagger. HP @ 659/659 Step 2: Grow level. HP @ 726/726 Step 3: Refund dagger. HP @ 659/726

I understand the reasons behind reducing hp / mana when refunding a hp / mana related item, but this had nothing to do with it and shouldn't affect the hp / mana.

Refunding items probably is still coded as it was in alpha. Basically everything that happened to you between purchase and refund is undone. It´s not a bug in the meaning of an unwanted interaction, its more outdated programing.
