Ward Skin Shards

I bought some mystery ward skins in the blue essence shop and I ended up getting some skins that I already had shards for. I noticed that the shards are still showing as activatable and don't say I own the skin. I tried to activate one just to see what would happen and it gave me a shard for the ward permanent, then when I tried to activate that it said an error occurred. I bought the mystery ward skins weeks ago and have restarted my client multiple times since then.
