sion/kalista ult

Is this supposed to work this way? Is this intended? basically kalista ults sion right after he ults, then he immediately teleports back to her when his ult ends. Seems weird for this to be intentional. Usually in weird cases like this they I feel like Riot will put some sort of limitation on an ability to prevent this weird abuse cases. I searched the boards and saw this was brought up 2 and 3 years ago, but I never found anywhere that it was acknowledged by riot, so I'm posting about it here.
