league insanely laggy after new client

this isnt a complaint about the client, so much as a complaint about actual in game state.
Lag spikes have gotten way worse since the new client has been used IMO. Whether they are related I am not sure, but I have run multiple ping tests to determine the issue and it is not on my end.
Any one know anything about it or can relate?
