This client is atrocious

Are you telling me I need to go through a dodge timer because the client is stuck on this screen? I don't even have a bad pc either, 16gb ddr4 ram, i7-8700k @5GHz, I doubt it matters but I have an rtx 2070 8g and I still get these issues. This client is so poorly optimized and it has been since it came out. (and yes, the chat in that gif is working...)
