Client won't open?

I've had this issue quite a bit, but usually i can just fix it by closing processes that are still running in the task manager. This time, however, I literally couldn't open the client after a restart (currently being forced to reinstall via Hextech repair tool). Is anyone else having this issue, or something similar? I would like to add that I could still open and play the PBE, just not the Live game.

Relevant specs: i7-8700k@5GHz 16 gb ddr4 memory (I can edit in more if needed)

I have the same issue as you. I can't open the client 9 times out of 10 and when it does open I get stuck in the login.

I'm having the exact same issue, the client told me "Could not patch" and now im booted out. I tried the usual trick of closing it in task manager, no good. Now the new RiotClientServices application just starts up, doesn't do anything, and the task goes to 0% of CPU. Nothing works. >:(

Having same problem. On a mac

I played on regular client about 2 hours ago, several game modes, no problem. Now for some reason I click to open client and it won't open. I have no idea if the problem is with my computer or the client.

I've restarted and shutdown my laptop. But its not changing anything. The rest of my applications and internet are working fine.

help?
