[CLIENT] Frozen in time (Ekko is that you?)

It seems like nobody else is receiving this error, and I'm really confused. It started off by joining a game of ARAM. I wanted a short 20-30min game and move on with my day. ARAM is perfect for just that.

  1. Log in
  2. Join ARAM queue
  3. Game loads
  4. Game starts
  5. About 5-10min into the game, my game froze. No, not the ARAM map, the game froze. Nothing was moving. I let it set there. Assuming it might have been lag, I waited for the "waiting to connect" display. Nothing. In my mind I think "maybe I'll restart league and hope the issue is fixed."
  6. Alt+F4 out, asks me if I want to quit, I say Yes.
  7. Reconnect via the popup
  8. Black screen, never hits loading
  9. Alt+F4, sometimes after seeing a popup that I attached (cannot connect blah blah) which never worked when Retry was attempted, leaving me to Alt+F4 out regardless
  10. Repeat from #7-9 about 5 times
  11. Close everything down
  12. Log back in
  13. Repeat #7-9 a few times
  14. Giving up and posting this

Has anyone had this before? I can't join the game. It's been 30m. The game doesn't show up on my match history, and I can't rejoin the game. It was ARAM, my team wasn't doing great, and there's NO way it's still going on. Either I'm stuck in time or.. I dunno. What do I do? I wonder if it crashed for everyone else so we're all in a situation where the game won't finish and won't let anyone connect to finish it. What the heck, Riot? (EDIT: I was wrong, I still can't rejoin)

BTW, clearly my internet worked. I tried opening IE randomly, which worked perfectly fine (since the client uses IE for some functions). I mention this to specify my internet isn't the issue. I'm posting this, 'aint I?

UPDATE: At least 45-60mins later I'm still being asked to reconnect to the same game. This is an ARAM game, mind you. UPDATE: At least 60-75mins later I'm still being asked to reconnect to the same game. Definitely a server-side glitch, where are you Riot. UPDATE: Went to a baseball game, just came back (been 12 hours) and it works! I'm hoping I can play a game successfully

i've gotten that same error message but in my case it happened right away. i did the run as administrator thing and that fixed it for me, idk if that applies to your situation.

My friend and I were in an ARAM game and all of a sudden the my game froze. The weird thing is that we froze in exactly the exact time and position on the map, and when I tried to reconnect to the game I received this same error message we thought it was Riot's servers or maybe some sort of bug that came along with the Caitly hotfix. We were thinking maybe it had something to do with spell shields, because we had a Morgana on our team and i'm pretty sure that was involved in the Caitlyn bug. Would appreciate help on this.
