legacy client not launching

every time i click the option to launch the legacy client it just closes out the client and doesn't reopen i have to keep launching league and try to do it again but it doesn't work it just keep doing the same thing.

I'm having the same problem. Tried launching lol.launcher, lol.launcher.admin, adjusting the user.cfg file and restarting my machine.
