I had 98 LP

Then I won one game, got into promos and lost 2 games. That lost me 38 LP, so 19 per game lost in promos. That's normal. However, if we count my 3 last games, then I lost 36 LP total (from 98 to 62). A win, loss, loss netted -36 LP. If we assume that a win and a loss cancel each other out, then a single defeat cost me 36 LP! That's of course due to the fact that I only gained 2 LP for the win since I was so close to 100. But should it be like that? One might expect that there would be some kind of hidden LP that would exceed 100 in order to prevent such situations. In promos your score is hidden anyway.

You cant gain LP when in promos, you can only lose it. So winning one and losing one doesn't cancel each other out

I went 2/3 W/L and went back to 0LP xD so my loses were worth -33lp I guess lol

Even without promos you can gain 12 LP for winning and lose 20 for loss. W/L/L is a net 28 LP loss, so its not far to go from there to 36.

On the flip side you can play WAY above your division, lose almost nothing and when you hit 100 LP you just promote instantly
