[Client] Opening a chest + Client Crash = Nothing Gained or Saved

So in short, I worked on finding a key fragment and finally got one. Then going into my hextech crafting area all seems fine until I open the paid for chest. The client (legacy) freezes and stopped working entirely, thus I restarted it to see what I got. Only to find there is nothing there as a reward for opening the chest, no key left that i forged, no paid for chest either. All other items in the crafting area remained the same.

I speculate that after opening it the key and chest got used; but because of the crash right as the chest did its morphing thing it was unable to reward a random gift. Please help me Riot!! v-v You are my only hope! (to getting my mystery champion/skin shard back!)
