Higher latency since last patch.

I and many others I've talked to ahve been experiencing weird latency recently. I think its been since this last patch but my ping is generally around 30-40 and lately it has jumped into the 100-300 range constantly during games and at times I will have 130 ping consistently. I have the same cable provider and havent had an internet issue once during this span. I got the idea for this post watching streams and seeing them comment about it as well. i thought it was just a handful of people but could voicechat or something else be causing it? Id imagine with voice chat there is a lot more bandwidth being used but idk.

Ping spikes and massive fps issues at random. Times fps in team fights drops to 1-3fps. Sad thing is before the last patch or two, I was running at max setting w/ no issues ever. Since the last patch or two, I dropped my settings in game, turned off shadows etc and still randomly drop to 1-3 fps in team fights. I know it's not on my end because it ran at max np before..

Had a non premade teammate in aram the other day who kept spiking over 1k ping.. Happens quite often now where teammates are pinging their over 1k ping..

I've been having the exact same problem since 8.6 released, but today I noticed it's not happening nearly as much for me. It's a lot more intermittent right now. Not sure why.

so for me i hover around 30-60 in California but since the the most recent patch by myslef i stay around 100-120 which is manegable but ssucks. what really gets me is when im playing with friends. ive noticed that the more people i party with the higher my ping gets. with a premade 5 ARAM sending me to the highest numbers, being ~3k-4333. ive tried closing everything else, steam, discord, chrome, file explorer, nothing seems to change the those numbers. even disconnecting from league voice and having the client close while in game doesnt seem to solve the problem. i only have this issue when i play league tho, my fortnite or sea of thieves runs perfectly but league with friends does not work. please help me before i quit to wait for the next patch.

i had 160 ms in season 5 or 6 now i get 180-190... they must have moved the servers or something..

Just had to dodge a match since I suddenly started spiking from 40 to 400.

Glad I have to lose 15 LP by being a decent human being saving 4 people from losing the same in a 4v5.

Mine is jumping from a regular 42 to a reported 56 and 60. Feels slightly worse than reported, it spikes a bit. I had a moment where I lagged out for a good .5s and died for it. I can link my proof lol.

I also live in California and have had 60-70ms consistently until the last patch or 2 where I've jumped up to 70-100ms. I also reworked my network and nearly doubled my download and upload speeds since the recent patch, so I was surprised to see my ping increase.

Definitely a server/patch issue I think, hopefully it is addressed soon or we at least hear some feedback on the matter.

Been having this too.

It seems to have been resolved for me. If it's just me, maybe this indicates the problem lies with ISP routing and not Riot.

It also seems to be resolved for multiple streamers I follow.

Same problem here bro! I understand that feeling. I hope riot can fix it as soon as possible.

Even the boards seem to crash a lot lately for me. Pages wont load the first time around everytime. It just feels like something is off on Riot's end. No issue with anything else. I play tons of other games and dont lag at all......

Submitted a ticket about this earlier in the week regarding a similar issue (#34254246). Normally have 19-20 ms ping, and now as my champs move around the map, the avatar responds with choppy, delayed movement. In-game latency will jump between 20-30 ms as I move around.

Any news on this? I've been experiencing it as well. Also, to mention, my boyfriend and a friend I play with often tend to have higher pings in general, but they have been consistently disconnected for several matches in a row where they used to experience lag.

It's Packet Loss with League, because i checked everything On my PC i even rebuilt my PC and tried different games like Fornite and Smite and Siege but none of those games Lag or FPS drops, So I Figured it had to be Packet Loss with the Riot, So its not Us its THEM !
