Losing LP to blank screen in Champion Select. Why?

Just had my client blank screen on me while I was getting into champ select. I gave it a minute or so to go away, then had to close the client and try to open it again. Got back in, and I couldn't get into a queue because i "have declined to many games or left during a champion selection". To top it off, this was ranked, so I lost 10 LP because of it. Not too much, but half an hour to try again, knowing Riots system may very well do this to me again? WHY? I'm fairly close to uninstalling and recommending people not to play this game. Player base is toxic, Riot doesn't seem to care about server maintenance anymore, and you can't even hop in a ranked game for fear of tanking your scores due to lag, D/C's, and trolling from the game itself, not to mention the players. Im sure Im overreacting, but c'mon, this is my first year actually trying ranked, and I wanted to make a decent show of it. I cant even get INTO the games... Who knows if I would ever even be able to win one?

TL;DR: Riots client fails, and its OUR fault. Penalties for THEIR software failing. Why? I dont pay MUCH money to them, but I am a customer. Do they care?

P.S. I know no rioter will comment on this, and thats fine. Im just venting and ranting. But seriously... Your business model is starting to crumble. Take care of the customers... Please. Fix your software before making new champs and modes with MORE bugs and failures.
