Zyra's grasping root FPS drop

I generally have 50-60 fps playing league on my laptop, but whenever I have a Zyra using her E (grasping root) on my screen, the fps immediately drops to 10-20. I realize this bug had been around for a long time, and it's usually only applied to the lower-end pc/laptops. Does anyone have a solution or a link to a solution or is there no way to fix it? I am on the lowest settings on this laptop already.
