Initial Patch Problems

Hello, I just purchased a Macbook Pro, and downloaded the LoL launcher. But when the initial patch starts, the wifi in the top right of the screen visibily turns on and off, and then the patcher gives an error message. I have tried restarting the computer, turning on and off wifi, redownloading LoL, anything I can find. Nothing has worked. It only happens for LoL; I have played Youtube videos, downloaded and updated other applications, and played other online games, but this is only happening for LoL.

Anybody have any idea what's going on?
