I've seen this posted quite a few times, so I decided to see if I could help. I read that you just have to hit cancel and re-log in until it lets you in the game without going into the waiting queue. It has worked for all of my friends and I, so please try it if you want. Hope you all get in as quickly as possible.
I just launched the game while the queue was up and the little thing that says league is running in another window thing popped up. Then I hit the ok button.
+1 Was JUST going to post this exact thing. As soon as you see it say position 1 wait time 1, hit cancel, log in again, Saw the suggestion and worked for me.

I got in, but every game had at least 1 dc on my team, usually 2. I'm giving up for the night. I hope Riot fixes this. They deleted my early topic about connection issues that people were having.
