You can't ult shaco clone, you cannot ult an ally when in zhonyas.

Okay, just had to clarify before I said anything.

Shaco clone is understandably, they don't want to wasting an ult that good on a clone.
No one can target someone in . This includes teammates.

Why would it be a waste? You can literally set up a strategic knock up, You let shaco make his clone and let it go to the enemy in the center while the real one is out of their vision, You let Galio ult on the clone.

Their spaghetti code could use some work, Zhonyas is stasis. If that were true. Then why can Ryze ULT + Zhonyas out? Why can Ekko use parallel convergence, Go into stasis form but still get shielded from the ability? Buffs still apply, Displacements still apply. You are choosing an ally regardless whether they are in stasis or not, Galio should be able to ult an ally. Even if Karthus is in his passive form, Galio should be able to ult an ally as long as they are alive & are on the rift.

stasis=untargetable ryze can ult and zhonya right after because the ult is already fired, the effect just has a delay etc.

I know what you mean & I completely agree in all scenario cases, But let me use the correct words for what I am trying to state, When Galio ults an ally, He goes to the ally location. The allies are basically the pinpoints in which Galio is supposed land at their locations in the time of need.

how can u ult an ally if you can't target that ally in the first place? (un)targetable means by anyone, not just the enemy

You don't get it. No matter what, If an ally is alive on the rift, Galio ult should be able to be pin-pointed.

It's not a location that he's ulting to, like Panth, Ryze or Twisted Fate. It's an ally's position. The ally being untargetable. And no, it should not be pin pointed, because stasis is there visually only to help you set up aoes or untargeted abilities, and time your next targeted abilities.

The designation doesn't look like a list of your allies, like Kindred choosing which enemy to hunt. It looks like you need a live target in the area you're hovering. So it's working as described, idk if as intended. If they change the behaviour, they will change the description, as well.

Plus, you really do not want to ult the ally during their stasis, because as the R's description states, you're granting them x% dmg reduction until you land. Wasted by the stasis, wasting your channeling, first part of the ult, at least to some degree, depending on your timing.

I'm surprised you think this 'should' happen.

Now I understand you wanna knock up people across a quarter of the map, but it's a 2 part ult, making it tricky to use, choosing the exact situation it's needed for, and that includes an ally in distress.

Fair enough but did you know that Ryze's Realm Warp ability specifically states that If Ryze is unable to cast or move, His ultimate would get cancelled? Yet when he goes into stasis ''Unable to do anything at all'' his ult is a free gateaway. Do you smell that too? That's right, Riot Games did it intentionally but not for Galio. T-T

Well this is another story. It's prolly a delay and not a channel, as it says he opens a portal. I can see threads about this being reported as a bug, you might as well open yet another one, or ask to clarify in the description that self induced cc does not interrupt it. As it shouldn't, imo, because it's mostly used as an escape aka defensive, so it would make sense to still have it fire during a defensive move. The advantage ofc is: it's not a channel like Fid's ult, where you have to just stand still and be open to anything, but.. I think Ryze is still at a slight disadvantage, compared to Lux hehe. Her ult is only interrupted by her death, afaik. So idk what the intention here was :P I can't find threads or vids about a lux using zhonya during her ult, and see if it cancels it, might try it tonight.

Mk you can't zhonya during lux's ult, I spammed it and it only went off after the ult. I guess she's actively gathering energy during that phase, that's why it can be interrupted by her death. Good to know!
