Yasuo knockup+ult is really buggy for me.

So I have been playing Yasuo and in several games and I knock players up, for some reason I just cannot ult. Like I once duoed with my friend who was playing Yi, and then we both went onto a Malphite where I E+Q combo for the knockup and I stood still and I MASHED by R button but alas no avail. This happens actually pretty rarely I have no idea why and I'm like right on top of him like there's no reason that I wouldn't be able to ult him. There was another occasion when my friend was a Blitzcrank and he grabbed then knocked up the enemy, obviously nothing happens. It's not a every day it happens, but it is annoying when I know I can win a fight and my ult doesn't even bother to go off, I'm 100% sure I'm in range, I have no cooldown, and if they are actually airbourne. I have no screenshots because of how rare this happens but it's starting to become a problem to me and I've been trying to accommodate with the bug.

This happens frequently to me, I had an amazing five man knock up under a turret, I was in range but I was unable to ult. It did not even display the is not airborne which it usually displays if you try to use ult without a knock up. It is very annoying and I think the ult should be more forgiving.
