teleporting on a ward in a bush doesn't teleport me in the bush
but near it. top lane bush before tri, red side

teleports you behind the ward, (i suppose red side is the upper one on the mini map)
The teleport places you at the closest position to your fountain that it can. If you didn't land in the bush, it's likely that the ward was too close to the edge to the point where the closest position to your base it could place you was outside the bush.
since when? how do so many ppl tp in a bush, including myself? ive never seen this happen before and it's pretty stupid, it could make an avg position so u still land in the bush, otherwise wtf is the point

Since about 2 months ago. Why you didn't land in the bush is purely the ward's positioning. They made that change to make your teleport position more predictable, both for yourself and for the enemy team. Where before it was completely random, now it's the closest position to your base that it can place you. Not getting placed in the bush also doesn't matter at all unless the ward expires mid-teleport, which I personally think that TP shouldn't let you teleport to wards that would expire during the channel.
Thank you. I guess I read the tp update too fast since I rarely top, and I remmeber something about being placed closer to your turret, which was great because so many times you'd tp way too close to an enemy + ur champ had fwd movement and you'd be like 'woah hey back up for a sec'.
Not sure what you meant by 'Not getting placed in the bush also doesn't matter at all' - because if I take it word for word then I strongly disagree. "TP shouldn't let you teleport to wards that would expire during the channel." - I think it keeps the ward alive like the minion, but I could be wrong.
Now about being placed in the bush, I think it's imperative. It's the reason I made the thread. Our Nasus support decided midgame to farm top alone past the river. With tp on short cd in arurf, and top being my lane as it was, I didn't want him alone tho chances were both of us were gonna die since a few enemies were missing. Mid tp I hear the rift herald being taken, and as soon as I realize it was the enemy, not us, I'm like 'doh now he will surely die, but I'm safe so I'm bailing' and hit the B button without even looking at my new location. The respective bush being mmm somewhat on the path from the rift to Nasus, if they had decided to go to him, I decided to finally look at my champ and make sure I can react if they have a ward in that bush, by any chance. Surprise, surprise, I was not even in it, so I was doomed too as Cho walked out of the tri towards me.

Well then, that was on you.
As for teleport keeping wards alive, like minions, it stops them from taking damage, but doesn't stop their countdown until they expire. When they do, the channel still isn't interrupted, but now becomes a ton more risky because anyone can walk where you're porting to and you would have no idea.
The only time porting into a bush vs not into a bush really matters is vision and if you have some kind of bush interaction (Nidalee passive, the mastery, Rengar, Ivern). Other than that, it typically won't because typically the ward won't expire when your port finishes and you'll be able to see into the bush.
