Bugsplat at 100% loading screen

Just tried to play a game for the first time since last night. The client worked fine last night and yesterday with no problems. Now all of a sudden I cannot get into a game. After restarting the client (several times now), I will hit the reconnect button and the loading screen will continue to go up to 100% and then crash with a bugsplat error. I have just restarted my computer to get a fresh boot and still had the problem. No other game or application has ever given me these issues, or any problems at all with this computer, so there must be something specific to LoL that is causing it.

Using google has not helped as most of the links are old and some of them lead to a 404 such as this old red post from last year: http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=4442263
