CC on Warwick's ult doesn't stop his R damage.

I was playing fiddlesticks I throw my E on Warwick which silences when it hits, he ults me before it hits him. I silence him but his damage still goes on despite it being silenced, so now he can hit me with Q and auto attacks with his r damage still going off.

From my understanding, ww has to be stunned for his ult to stop because his ult is instant and is like a series of AA with buffed damage. You can't silence AA or CC thats in action unless you stun/knock. You can cancel his suppression but hell still do damage if you're in range as you move away while he's stuck there until his channeling is done. Take akali for example, you can CC her while she R you. It'll still go but during the duration she can't trigger anything else that needs to be activated. Tristana when she jumps, she can jump at you the moment you silence her and she'll still jump and damage the location.

Also make sure your silence isn't like 1 second because it will give you an impression that you didn't silence at all if you aren't paying attention.

This is a bug with Warwick's ult actually. Even Leona stuns aren't stopping the damage.

this is a really common glitch that i dunno why they not fixed on ww yet like they fixed malz its pretty much the same shit just not on breaking it himself and this is caused by breaking warwicks ult not counting as an interrupt it will break the stun but his stun and damage are not set on the same event so they have his ult dealing 5 procs of damage on over the time instead of linking them together would be my guese

This isn't a glitch, this was actually a change a bit back for damaging supressions, I.E. Malzahar and Warwick in specific. It was a buff. It also shifted where Warwick is positioned on their target after ulting. Basically, you have to physically relocate outside of an AOE around Warwick after his ultimate begins to stop the damage for it, I.E. You QSS the moment her ults. If you stand there, he's still going to deal his full damage to you. This is also true of Malzahar (though his ulti is glitchy as heck as well.)

Using a knockback is generally more effective to get Warwick's damage off someone, I.E. Alistar, Lee Sin, Vayne or Poppy.

I should say a WHILE back. I think it was late S2.

Also, silence doesn't stop suppression. Never has as far as I'm aware. You need a QSS, stun or displacement.
