Range calculations for ALL champions need rework

Played a few games today with infrequent ping change and saw a massive differences (about a quarter teemo) between range indicator and effective start cast range with many point and click on champion skills shots. Namely brand, katarina, veigar, and many other mages I have had issues with checking the cast range and then walking well within cast range to actually START the ability, I am going to gueess this might have something to do with the horrible pathing I've been experiencing since Season 5 but I'm not making any notable links.
