Jhin's E (Lotus Trap) no longer reveals stealthed champs. Intended? Bug?

I played a game as Jhin today and was laning against a Twitch and a Jungle Rengar, when both of them stepped on my trap in various moments in the game, i could not see them in any way, however, they did have the reveal "eyes" on top of them when they exited stealth. If this is intended it makes absolutely no sense, there so litle counter play to stealth at the moment and Jhin E description specificaly mentiones being able to reveal champions for seconds.
