Patch 5.5 Patcher Bug

As soon as the servers for NA came back online I tried to download the patch. As soon as I clicked on the League of Legends icon it pulls up an error window saying "PVP.net Patcher Kernel has stopped working." Considering I attempted every single thing possible everywhere. It might be a bug [ "What's wrong with bugs?"] Also I even shut off my Avast for 10 minutes to try some stuff. So I'd like some really specific details on how to get this error to quit. I'm running Windows 7 (64 Bit) Professional. I'll gladly provide any other details if necessary. Also I'd like to hear what you guys think. Thank you for your time. Some straight Riot support would be great but I'm too lazy to input a support ticket and wait 3 days. Thanks in advance!
