Master Yi Alpha Strike is glitching

So spells like Lissandra's** Ice Shard**, Ring of Frost, Spells like VI's** Vault Breaker** are hitting me even though i am in mid Alpha Strike, the spell claims Yi is 'temporarily untargetable' ... so how are spells like Rengar's Bola Strike or Rek Sai's Prey Seeker targetting me even though I am clicking Alpha Strike at a time where the spell should be dodged.

Is this a glitch or just poor programming in their choice of wording?

For a champion who relies on one spell so singularly in a meta that is so anti-melee; can Yi please get some lovin' for once? :(

Definition of Untargetable:

Untargetable refers to champions in a state where targeted spells such as Rammus's Puncturing Taunt and LeBlanc's Sigil of Malice cannot be cast on the untargetable champion, and nontargeted spells such as Karthus's Requiem will have no effect; an exception being Soraka's Wish. Additionally, they cannot be targeted by auto attacks.

This does not make them invulnerable

It further explains for "Dash" states of Untargetable, such as Yi, Zed's Ult, Malphite's Twisted Advance:

Dashes Projectiles (autoattacks or abilities) that are mid-flight when the character starts dashing will hit when the dash completes. They still take damage from DoTs while untargetable and all CC is delayed until the ability finishes casting.

At least for things like Lissandra's it explains it; the CC will take effect through the "Dash", and I believe that AoEs will still deal damage. They aren't "targeting" you, which is the only thing it is actually doing. Something like Requiem is considered like a global, multi-target "Targeted" spell, so it can still avoid that.

I am no expert, but AoEs can always hit people that are "untargetable" I believe.

just like when LB's passive goes off where she splits in twins and I cast my mumu ult, I can still kill LB even though I can't see her

OP, just to clarify, when you say mid-Alpha Strike, you mean during the period when Yi is no longer visible on the map, correct? Because last time I played Yi, Alpha Strike, I was able to dodge those and other abilities.

The issue is the word untargetable isn't a word. Riot needs to brush up on their dictionary because this leads to clarity issues. The word that should be used is immune, and if riot doesn't want them immune to these spells, there needs to be clarification because all too many times i am being screwed over in a very tight situation because a Lissandra or a Sej was able to hit me with one of their AoE spells even though i'm apparently 'untargetable' what does untargetable even mean. Anyone know any website that gives a definitive definition for what 'untargetable' means?
