ELO System broken?

I played a game an did very well, it was a stomp to be honest, 26 to 8. When the game ended i needed 22 lp to go to promos and i expected to get it due to me being on a win streak and getting 27 lp last game for a win. Well i didn't lose at all an it only gave me 20 lp which doesnt make sense because i thought after you win your MMR goes up an you progressively get more an more lp per game. Can someone tell me the reasoning behind me only getting 20 lp even though i was on a win streak and got 27 lp last game? Thank you
