Played an aram yesterday where i was playing 
and there was an enemy 
. The Illaoi's E kept grabbing my spirit when Malz's passive was up rather than being stopped by the Malz passive. Not sure if this is a bug or not but i still wanted to report it just in case
Cind3rkick1 votesIm pretty sure passive doesnt block the ability itself but just removes the cc. And i dont think having a spirit ripped out is classed as cc (it will block the slow from it though)
A Bad Nasus2 votesThe thing is malz's passive also acts as a spellshield so depending on how the enemy's ability is coded, like fizz ult where it drops an aoe only to attach to malz anyway, it seems like illaoi's e condition is indefinite. Needs some testing with banshee's and morgana/sivir to check for consistency.

I used to play Morg a lot, pretty sure if I shielded a target before Illaoi's E she couldn't grab.
Would have to test though for certainty.

this was fixed with new morg. Illaoi can now go through her shield

morg could shield against it, but cannot anymore. Pretty sure August changed it after i told him about it on twitter, using the Malzahar comparison. Since he changed it that means it's intended. These abilities don't say they block the ability. They say they negate CC, which Illaoi's E isn't.
