Ping went from 60-75 to 120-260 after update

Same, as soon as I patched my latency went up by about 40ms and now its extremely difficult to play.

Funny thing I have a better connection to playing on Japan servers than i do to NA currently, and i live in NA.

what's your isp? just played a game and everybody in our group was having ping issues (75 last patch. 160+ that game). we all have cox, so we think it's probably an issue with the isp, and if it's that case then i don't think riot can do anything

My game seems to be getting progressively worse since 8.23

I had a consistent 68ms or so, then the first game I played after the update it jumped to around 170ms, this morning though it dropped back down to 80ms. I asked around in my games and it only seemed to be effecting some of the players.

Might be a NA thing But try the option to close client whenever you're ingame. It has to restart after every game but ingame performance and ping a significantly better for me. New client still shit after how long? 2 years?

i have lag spikes,i live in south america(im from euw) and i always had 160 to NA and i dont lag never ever

now im playing with constant 400 after last patch
i ve tried changed dns to 1.1.1.1 cloudflare i ve tried factory reset router flush dns blah blah

its the game the broken one,last patch messed up(as always)

Same issue, I've had a 140 ping consistently. Now it's 180/190.

My guess is it is how it is being routed within the US (Which servers ISPs are using to route the traffic for the game), that may have recently changed. Because doing a ping test on the server outside the game also gives an increase of 40 ping.

2 days ago, steady 129 ping test (ping -n 100 104.160.131.3) , now its a steady 172 ping test. Pinging EUW does not show the same increase.

I had around 70 ping around noon pst and then around 7pm it went from 120 and rose to 150, I thought it was just my internet but even after restarting multiple times it hasn't gotten better.
