darius bleed overextended?

so i was playing renekton and i had just been ulted by a darius and i thought i had escaped with a sliver of health 2 times each time around about 7-15 health and i watched the bleed effect wear off each time but a second later i died, is this just mislabeled and longer than its supposed to be or am i seeing things?
