I was messing around and noticed that if your personal minion (be it empowered or a zz'rot spawn) kills a minion it still has the chance to drop a coin. Isn't this unfair as it allows a player to get more gold for a wave of minions then intended? Does this seem wrong to anyone else?

How does this interact with Yorick, Heimerdinger? They still gain cs I think, so they probably can't abuse it, but I know there was discussion of not counting the cs (and just giving them gold) which sounds like it might abuse it.
The point of those items is to set it to push in your absence so it wouldn't really affect your gold income. If the support pushed with that item they are sacrificing themselves helping their team which could mean life or death in a team fight. They are also leaving themselves open to ganks so even though it does seem like an oversight, it doesn't affect the game negatively.
