Rammus Interactions : Possible Bugs

I have been experimenting with rammus and have found a few item interactions i thought were strange. The first one is when rammus activates talisman it takes him out of power ball this makes the boost only good when used before powerball or after. Especially weird since this does not happen with Righteous Glory. The other interaction was when rammus has spell thief's edge he does not get a proc for damaging a champion with his defensive ball curl. I might be silly for getting these items on rammus, but they don't seem to work how I assumed they would.
