I find it sad, that to this day if I do a system restore , it totally breaks the client. I did try the deletion of some files, but it still did not work. Is this just something that will never be fixed? I remember this happening since season 2.......

Well duh. If you do a system restore you'll be removing some essentials for running the client. Reinstall the client when you do a system restore.
