Lucian ult canceled through edge of night

Its been over two years from what I’ve researched that this bug exists. When you have edge of night up then pop culling you can still get your ult canceled by cc. It is very odd and makes no sense since the item is suppose to prevent a spell, therefore canceling all its negative effects. But I played game where pantheon could w to stop my ulti even if i had edge of night. Is this intentional or a never reported bug ?
