Not Gaining IP From Matches

Recently, I was playing a Normal game as , and my team won. I was supposedly given over 200 IP, which is pretty nice because I don't pay real money for anything in League of Legends. However, I noticed just now that my IP number on the home menu hasn't change at all; it was like the match didn't happen. Is this a bug, or is there some sort of reason behind this? Note that I was playing as because he was in the free weekly champion list, and I don't actually have him.
