Can we improve the client's "New Item" notification? (The little yellow circle)

I don't need to be told that I have a new icon that I won't even use 12 times before it finally shuts up, and yeah that skin is cool but I knew I had it before you even gave me the notification. [slayer-jinx-unamused]
