Thresh Q Bug

I was playing a Normal just now as Thresh, and twice, my Q disappeared as soon as I threw it out. I saw the windup, but then no projectile came from my character. I have video proof to confirm this (it's the in-client .rofl file if anyone would like to see it). Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?
