Unable to pause game in spectator mode, neither with the P key or with the actual pause button

Just spectated a game, left for twenty minutes and paused it, came back twenty minutes later while it was paused, and unpaused it in order to resume spectating it. I then wanted to pause it temporarily because I needed to go do something, but when I pressed P, the game didn't pause. n when I pressed the actual pause

button on the small board with all the functions on it (Speed up, pause, jump back 15 seconds, jump to live, etc.) the game would not pause. I could,

however, still slow down and speed up the game. Every other function worked except for the pause button.
