I keep getting S's and have all my chests available, yet I haven't gotten a chest in at least a month. I have 4 keys and 1 shard from games. What's going on?

Had you already gotten an S with those champions before in this season, or do you not own the champion?

Yes, does it have to be a different champion in order to get more boxes?

Yes it does. You can only earn one chest per champion per season, so once you earn a chest on a certain champion, you will no longer be able to earn another chest while playing as that same champion until next season.
