Kindred's W with Muramana

I'm not sure if this is just an unintended interaction or bug. But from what I tested, it seems that Kindred's W is not applying Muramana passive despite it being a "single-target" spell from what it seems to be. I'm just wondering if this is an unintended interaction or it is a bug.

(Tried using Muramana on Jhin's W and the Muramana passive will apply despite it being an "AoE" (area of effect).)

From wiki "Wolf's Frenzy is a point-blank area of effect with a summon component.

Each Wolf attack applies spell effects as an area of effect ability. "
