Flex rank broken

So, I didn't see the notification and didn't wait for my flex partners to q today. Lost a 4v5 and got demoted 2 divisions to silver 2. They all played together 1 game, and were moved from silver 1 to plat 1...now we can't play together. We have played together all through the regular season, we were all high plat to low diamond. What is going on here? How is this so broken? Is there anyway my rank can be fixed so i can play with my friends? I wasn't mad about being demoted because I assumed I would just climb out with my friends and have fun but now I'm pretty upset. I really don't enjoy solo q in a dynamic environment, every other game someone rage quits or dc's, or you get the toxic premade, and you cant even ff for 20 min. To be honest, if this doesn't get fixed I will quit league until solo queue is released.

Because of the MMR mismatch in Flex Queue, you got reset to the original starting point (pre placements). But remember this is only Preseason, the rank you accomplish now WILL BE RESET AGAIN! The rank you get in preseason does only influnece the placement in Season 7 to a SMALL extend! (only your starting point in season 7 is affected by Preseason ranks) Sidenote: 1-2 Tier drops are completely normal in preseason.

I.E.: You were Plat 5 at the end of the season, were placed high Silver after placements, now got placed low Silver. If you now climb to Plat again, you will then only be placed in low Gold at the start of Season 7!

So dont worry to much about the current placement!

Normaly you lose atleast half a tier, so your friends beeing placed at the maximum possible rank, while normaly beeing placed around high gold/low plat is unusual. So this is a very unfortunate case, but you should be able to climb to the tier requierment pretty fast! But remember this is only preseason so you will get reset again.

with the current system expect to always have a mismatch in your enemies favor, and regardless of how well you play you will be dropped a minimum of 1.5 tiers for no reason at all. it's a garbage fucking queue. teambuilder should have never been removed.
