[Gameplay] Another Flex Queue placement quandry

I was mid plat in solo q, placed silver 2 in flex. My low gold friend placed plat 2 in flex so we can't q together. My diamond 4 friend placed lower than i did in silver so at least we can duo but HOW DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE RIOT? Please fix your game.....not my first post about this but it hasn't been addressed at all. The hotfix or whatever it was just made things even worse.
