[CLIENT CRASH CHAMP SELECT] "LOlclient.exe has stopped working" - very random and frustrating
I'm getting highly random "LOlclient.exe has stopped working" errors randomly during champion select, roughly 1-2 times a month. It just happened in Nexus Siege. It wouldn't be that big of a deal except every time it counts as a dodged game even though I had no intention of dodging, so it makes me wait for something that's not my fault, it really does need to be fixed. Please at least put some greater error checking in so it will be logged why it's crashing. Or at least have the client communicate that it crashed to the server and drop the dodge penalty if a crash was responsible.
I'm not using any relevant third party programs, and I hope not to in the future (the Item Set Creator REALLY, REALLY needs to be implemented in the new client long before the old one is dropped.) The one thing I can think of that might be affecting it is that there's often some slight change, usually to something trivial and unrelated like the login screen, when it happens. If the game really can't champ select stably when there's a non-mandatory patch that hasn't been updated to, please just make all patches mandatory. I'd rather have to reopen the client each patch than get random dodge penalties I didn't earn just because the game isn't handling some minor asset change correctly. Incidentally, I had previously played a game with an opponent selecting Camille before it happened; no crash during that game at any point.
