Fizz Ult Animation

I have learned which abilities have a knockup by seeing my champion visually knocked up when playing against newer champions. I didn't really think about that till now. If GP's Parley had a knockup yet the animation looks as it does now, short of reading it by chance in a tooltip while playing him or reading about the ability I'd have no reason to suspect it. If an ability looks straightforward I'd have no reason to do further research on it.

Fizz has been out since 2011. I have never played him but I've played against him, spectated him, watched him in tournaments on big screen tv. I just now found out the lil expletive fishie's shark employs a knockup. It was always obvious to me that it applies a slow and does dmg. It does a very poor job visually of showing a knockup type effect. Perhaps its because it looks good the way it is currently animated and might look silly if it did show a shark knocking you up before it ate you.

But it has been canceling a tethered channel occasionally due to the knockup and due to the lack of or poor visual feedback to let you know a knockup has occurred i've always just thought i'd self canceled by moving, that the trollpole is bugged occasionally, etc.

A friend using same champ having same issues has thought the same. I've emailed him and i'm expecting him to be as surprised as I was to find out the source of the confusion is that the Ult employs a knockup.

Would be nice if you could animate the knockup better. So the occasional idiot don't go about 4 years before noticing one exists.

Despite the above being true; turns out the lil fishie bugger does have a drain cancel-able bug on his trollpole too though the timing has to be very good and right at the very beginning before the tether forms. If he is timing it as good as in this case then he can also implement the same fear bug that similar spells are capable of dodging in the same way. So there is a bug; but if you use replays you can pinpoint what is the formerly unknown by me knockup canceling drain tether; and what is well timed trollpole causing a ok'd drain from finding a valid target and going on cd whilest not tethering.
