Gameplay/Client Changing network mid game is not possible anymore

I had been playing fine till patch 4.20 (rip marley), and here is a little explanation:

I play between two different wifi sources, so if someone is using one, I swap to the other so I don't lag. Well the problem began when the new patch came, I swapped network and it began the "attempting to reconnect"; went on for like 5 minutes and nothing. I closed and directly clicked on the reconnect option, and I couldn't connect no matter how many times I tried. Solution if you change wifi: either don't or close the client completely and then log back in.

Its a pretty big process (about 4 minutes in my computer) to do mid-match; so if you could correct this because before the patch it was good as always :3

Same situation here, actually. Same process, same results. Now I have to just stick with the one connection, which, tbh, has almost never failed me in delivering solid speed with a constant connection.

However, since the last patch, the lag and ping levels in the LoL client have been upredictable and completely unreasonable. I've actually been put on leaver notice multiple times because their client bugged out on the connection, wouldn't reconnect, and eventually the client crashed and never let me back in the match. I'm almost to the point of, 'unless I hear that they have finally succeeded in fixing the problem, I'm flat out quitting the game'. It's completely unplayable as of 10 minutes before my typing this.
