[CLIENT] Rarely, a User will be autofilled to a queue Partners' Secondary role if Primary is shared.
When queuing for any Draft Pick queue, players will select a primary and secondary role/position they prefer to play. While waiting in the queue to enter Champ Select, all players are subject to the possibility of being autofilled into any position to make shorten some queue times, including roles/positions they did not select for primary or secondary. Rarely, when queuing with a partner that has the same preferred primary role, the Partner will receive the primary role, and the User will be autofilled to the Partners' secondary role. This is inconsistent with the roles available in the queue not needing to have an autofill due to role preferences.
Note 1: In this example, Kalmageddon667 is User 1, Tocoetoco is User 2/the Partner. Note 2: Occurs more often when a higher demand role is shared for the primary. Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2
Reproduction Rate: 4/30 Known Queues: Solo/Duo Ranked, Flex Ranked. [Not tested in Normal Draft Pick]
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the League of Legends Client on two PCs.
- Log into two separate LoL accounts that are eligible to queue together for Ranked queues.
- Select Play at the top of the client.
- Select a Draft Pick queue (Solo/Duo, Flex, Normal Draft Pick).
- Invite User 2/the Partner to the queue.
- Have both Users select the same role for Primary. (For example, have both Users choose Mid).
- Have both Users select a different role from each other for Secondary. (For example have User 1 select Bot and user 2 select Top).
- Accept the queue when the queue pops.
- Observe, rarely User 2/the Partner will receive the shared Primary role while User 1 will be autofilled to User 2's secondary role.
I'm unsure if this is technically a bug, or if this is by design as this allows a player their primary preferred role. This seems to be one as why would not User 1 be given the primary role and User 2 be given the secondary role as opposed to autofilling where User 1 is less comfortable playing the role thanUser 2 is.
