Only League Crashes My Computer

Ravenhurst·1/22/2015, 6:26:35 PM·15 votes·43,433 views

I have a powerful rig, and I play Dragon Age Inquisition, Heroes of the Storm, Dota 2, Starcraft, etc. all on maximum settings with no problems, but League of Legends crashes mid way through game every few games. I've run performance monitors. My cpu and gpu never exceed %60of their resources for league of legends. I've been trying to eliminate the problem. I updated my AMD drivers, I tried the Beta drivers. My components stay cool. Anyone else having this problem? Pasting my DxDiag.

It's good to know I'm not the only one... I made a new PC during Black Friday and it was an AMD build with brand new parts. When I played league, my PC would stay running smoothly, but the monitor shuts off and says there is no input. No wifi comes into the computer, and my mouse and keyboard stop working. Originally I thought it might be an issue with the motherboard or power supply, but I'm happy I saw this thread before buying new parts. Assassins Creed Origins and other games run smooth AF on my PC and it was so strange to see League crash almost every game...

I really hope they figure out a fix for this, it worries me that some of the comments in this thread are nearly 3 years old...

I'm also running league of legends on windows 10 64bit

Is there any specific circumstance or gameplay scenario that seems to correlate to these crashes? Is it accompanied by a bugsplat? When did the problem start happening?

An even better way to get an assist on this might be to make a post in Help & Support, or submit a player support ticket and get direct info there. Hopefully that helps!

Has anyone found a solution to these crashes? I'm having the same problem almost every game lately.

10.11.2017 Still happening to me. Seriously it's kinda joke that it's happening for minimum 3 years and Riot did nothing to fix it yet...

Antonidas11/22/2015, 6:39:59 PM2 votes

Same thing happens for me and I'm always sitting over here like "How ???"

This is 9/5/2019 and there still is no fix? I've been having this issue for 3+ years, thinking it was my computer.... changing parts, updating systems constantly to no resolve. And now I know 8im not the only one with this issue... but the sad part is... riot didn't give 2 shits?!?! riot this is a lot of people, please work help us out my god. even if you solved it once with a ticket, please post it here for others to see to get help.

I have the exact same Problem and i also have a strong setup where i can even play elite: Dangerous and similar games on highest settings. difference is i have an Nvidia card so its probably not related to the graphics card. I also monitored my System heat and my fans are fine and the heat never exceeds 60°C I've noticed it appears in the first 10 minutes of the game when i am running music in the background from youtube or just having it open in the background without it running and without anything running in the background the crashes still appear completely random some games it doesn't crash a lot of games it does and no reason can be found.

pls riot don't just ignore this Problem! i suspect a memory leak somewhere

This exact same issue is happening to me recently. I think it started for me after patch 6.1 and every 2-3 games my computer will just completely freeze up. Nothing really happens to warrant it besides the fact that I'm playing League. I've already run my anti-virus programs, fixed any registry errors that my computer was having, and monitored the heat levels. If there's anything that can be done I would DEFINITELY appreciate it. I put a lot of money and time into this game and I would love to actually play it without having to be reported constantly for AFK even though it was my computer.

I have the same problem. You posted this a year ago and I wonder if you have found a solution to this problem? Because I can't play this game without being put in low priority queue and/ or getting reported fo

Most likely you use windows 10 right? Well lol doesn't like windows 10. Change the compatibility to windows 8 that should fix it. :)

DiamondPolar12/13/2016, 5:12:09 AM1 votes

I've been getting crashes since the Assassin rework with no avail, even with Riot's help. ans I cant make it compatible with Win 7 when there isnt an option for Win 7.

as all the other people here im quite sick and tired of having a penalty for something thats not even close to being my fault every time it keeps crashing and i always keep waiting the 20 minutes in hope my next game will work as everyone else says its never the loading screen its ALWAYS in game on random moments where it crashes and i need to restart my PC. im affraid of being banned because i really love league of legends and hope someone can actually fix this patch or atleast have a solution

RITO GAMES WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU? Can't you see we are so many people with the same problem here, nobody of us can find a solution, and you remain silent about it for so many years??? WHY??? I have posted in support about this, I got no answer... Yesterday I tried to play 3 games, and I experienced 4 crashes in 2 of them. I have a very good system and I really tried everything to fix this problem, that your game obvioysly creates. RIOT you got to do something here, if you care about your community. Me personally, I have spent more than 200 euros in this game through these 7 years of playing it. You should at least respect me and tell me what the problem is. You develop 1 game for 7 years. Please Riot it's not that hard. You surely can do better than that. We want to enjoy your game RITO. PLZ UNDERSTAND!!!

I have the same problem, Since 3 or 4 games ,when I am ingame my computer randomly crashes. Everything else works fine and my computer doesn't overheat. I have got 20 minutes leave buster allmost everytime because it refreshes the 5 times after every crash :/.

MaIfurio7/12/2015, 3:20:00 PM1 votes

The same thing started happening to me after around patch 5.9/5.10 and further ones.Like everyone else it all at random moments during a match.Sometimes it even happen 2 to 3 a match. Before it started happening i only had the client crash with the bug splat showing up(didnt crash my pc)then after a while it started crashing my pc completely.I wonder if the bug splat is related or not,but this is definetely a nuisance to my LoL experience.

same problem here for windows 10 64 bit

UnluckyGambler4/16/2018, 9:49:15 AM1 votes

Bump

same problem here, crashing every game, even after i get back in a game i just crashed. got 20 min leaver buster.

it didnt used to crash so bad. and every time it crashed, it didnt crash again after i got back in the game. for some reason, starting a couple days ago, it crashes every game. i turned graphics way down, tested it in custom games with plain classic skins (skins are a factor too, i sense), did not crash with 9 bots. im about to test it in a matchmade bot game. again, this 20 minute leaver buster timer is friggin annoying. im trying to do your job here, riot. as if the crashing thing isnt annoying enough already. at least lift the leaver buster penalty so we can have an easier time trying to find the cause of these crashes.

ShadowDragon487/31/2018, 4:07:37 PM1 votes

I really love this game, but my pc will just randomly and completely crash. It's not even overheating, I play Rift and my pc can get very hot, i used to play HoN and my pc got hot but never crashed. League, it stays cool and just crashes and i'm tired of getting leaver buster on me because of it. it's just getting annoying and i'm glad its not just me that it's happening to.

ShadowDragon487/31/2018, 4:12:30 PM1 votes

If this issue has been going on for three years and Riot has done nothing about it, then that just means they're a bad company and don't care about their community only that people will spend money on their game. Why can't they just fix it? cause its obviously not on our end for the reason of the crashes.

UnluckyGambler11/8/2018, 8:41:20 PM1 votes

Ooo, allow me to join this club. Been crashing for two years, getting progressively worse. Crashes seems to get a boost whenever a new patch comes out. Been with riot support for 9 months and 5 tickets, still no fix. If any one of u find a fix, for the love of all that is good in this world, share it with us!

Trudge Da Judge1/16/2019, 6:24:40 PM1 votes

mine started about last July also why won't Riot fix their shit I can play any game on the highest of settings but when it comes to League of Legends I have to pray that my computer doesn't crash because they don't want to fix what they need to fix I'm sick of low priority queues and I put over $2,000 into this game through skins so I feel like I'm being ripped off

FroBlock2/15/2019, 3:22:23 AM1 votes

Is there any fix to this? I seem to have the same problem on my pc. i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X BV 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card 16GB Memory RAM.

I keep hearing a sound which I associated to windows "disconnected device" sound. It would glitch out my mouse every time that happens. I hear it frequently after a while of playing league. Then eventually my mouse stops moving altogether and my keyboard doesn't react as well. The game is still playing fine in the background.

I looked it up and found a helpful video on youtube that tells me to check power settings and disable the "USB power saving" feature which disables USBs. No luck though.. this still happens. I'm sure its a windows 10 thing, bc my old rig from 2011 with Windows 7 never had an issue playing league.

GiveMeMyMilk9/11/2019, 3:01:21 PM1 votes

This has happend to me as well. Multiple times and it stil doesnt stop.

Luckysundayy9/19/2019, 12:08:55 AM1 votes

Wow I thought I was losing my mind but I see other people are going through this too. This ONLY happens with league for me. I've been fighting mines for the last year and I've legit gutted and rebuilt my PC over that year. I can play Witcher 3 Hitman 2 and other demanding titles for a day straight but only league does this.

I'm 100% convinced it's software related something isn't agreeing with LoL. I rolled back my Nvida drivers and stopped updating them and it happens to me only once and 15 games now but either my game crashes to some weird orange screen and I can ctrl atl delete and get back to the game or the screen just goes black and then the display driver recovers. The only thing I have running while playing is the blitz app and even without that running it still happens.

In fact something interesting happened last crash where the screen crashed as usual but it asked for an error report

DayyBlue10/1/2019, 4:36:56 PM1 votes

I have updated my windows, and my video card drivers, i needed the .NET 3.5 which is in the latest Win 10 upgrade.. i have also made a full repair in lol. It solved this problem for me.

October 2019... Has anyone actually found a solution to fix this? I've tried everything I could to not have League crash and nothing works...
