[GAMEPLAY] Vi auto attacking after using Q towards jungle camp is bugged

whenever i've played as Vi recently i Q into a jungle camp like normal and then when i go to auto attack she does this weird thing how she awkwardly punches backwards at the air even though im facing toward the creature im hitting. this has been happening for quite a while....she never used to do this.
